Sigma is a famous lens maker in Japan. Sigma makes many types of lens for SLR cameras . Now sigma makes SLR camera only ,but it made compact cameras before. This camera is an AF zoom (x2) camea .Sigma put it in market in 1991. As compared with a present-day camera, it is very big and heavy.

I got it at a low price, it was in the quite dirty state. 　Surface paint has deteriorated. 　It was very sticky. 　It polished and leather is stretched on the surface.In a dark situation, a electronic flash emits light automatically.

DX system detects film automatically(ISO 20-3200). Autofocus system is useful from 0.8m to ∞.　It needs 2CR5 for main buttery and CR2025 for date function.

This camera is too large for calling it a compact.

オ−クションで買ったカメラです。かなり珍しいものだと思います。ジャンク箱でお目にかかったことはありません。買ったカメラとしては今までで（おそらくこれから先も）最低価格でした。交換レンズメーカーとして有名なシグマが作ったコンパクトカメラです。現在は１眼レフ（最近はデジタル１眼も）作っていますが、ＡＦカメラを作るのに先だってＡＦ機構のプロトタイプとしてコンパクトカメラを製作したという話です。レンズメーカーらしく広角域、標準域、望遠域とシリーズ化したカメラを作ったそうです。たいへん大きいカメラです。表面がＺＥＮ仕上げと呼ばれる軟質のプラスティックでコーティングされているのですが経年変化のためベトベトになっていて難儀しました。耐水ペーパーでベトベトを削り取り、部分的には上から革を張って使えるようにしてあります。レンズメーカーだけ合っていい写りだと思います。とにかくでかいのが難ですね。古いだけあってＡＦの性能は今ひとつでした。ピンボケもちらほらありましたがピントが来ればすばらしい！
