This camera has cheap appearance. 　If there is no manual, full-scale use may be difficulty.For example, if you want to rewindthe film on the way
1) remove the lens
2)set the dial to ISO
3)push two buttons behind the body simultaneously It seems to be a secret method!

EOS with Pentax lens. EOS body is nice to use with mount adaptor because its frangeback is short.

This camera is the AF single lens reflex camera . EOS is a plastic auto-focus SLR camera series made by Canon. It seems that there are many troubles in its shutter. Eos cameras has commmon very serious problem in its shutter. Old EOS`s shutter is mostly dirty with oil. To tell the truth ,it`s not oil. In fact, as for the dirt which appears like oil is made from a shutter damper .A damper melts with years, becomes like oil, and soils a shutter. So purchasing the camera for which the shutter damper is not exchanged should avoid. It can also be called cheap shopping if ready for washing the feather of a shutter by yourself. However, unless exchanges the damper itself, it does not become solution of a fundamental problem.

ＥＯＳはキヤノンのＡＦ1眼レフシリーズです。初代はＥＯＳ650ですが、なぜ初代が650なのかはよく分かりません。他のカメラシリーズと同様に型番の桁数が少ない方が高級カメラですから1000ＱＤは入門機といえます。このカメラは90年代の後半に作られましたが、最近のＥＯＳ以外はほぼすべてシャッターに共通の問題を抱えています。シャッターを切った際に縦走り金属フォーカルプレーンシャッターの動きを受け止めるゴム製のダンパーが経年劣化で溶けだし、これが羽に絡み付いてシャッターが開かなくなってしまうのです。現在ではキヤノンもこのダンパーの交換はしていないようです。「シャッター羽に油汚れあり」のジャンクカメラはすべてこのような状態にあります。油が見えないものもダンパーそのものは溶けはじめているはずですからいつ同じ状態になるか分かりません。こういうものですから非常に安価に手に入れることもできるわけです。ただし、羽を清掃してシャッターが切れてもダンパーがまた溶けて来るでしょうし、そのうちダンパーが全部溶ければシャッター羽を受け止めるものがなくなってしまいますので、いつかはダンパーを変えないことにはいずれは壊れてしまいますね。

さて、カメラの使い心地はいたって普通のＡＦカメラです。フォーカスを外すこともほとんどありません。シグマのレンズもいずれもなかなかの描写ですが、ズームレンズということもあってたいへん暗いレンズのため屋内ではストロボ必須となってしまいます。

ＥＯＳはレンズ遊びの母艦として利用されることが多いようです。なぜならフランジバックが44ｍｍと短いため多くのレンズをアダプターに代って取り付けることができるからです。私がこのボディーを入手したのも将来的にＥＯＳデジタルを母艦としてはどうだろう？と考えて、その下調べの意味があったのでした。早速近代インターナショナルのＭ４２用アダプターを入手しました。
